What Time Is It? (A poem by Vinh Nguyen)

Just another poem I’d written thus far.  Enjoy!

Time’s like a river,
it flows through time,
endlessly it flows,
to nowhere nobody knows,
to what purpose nobody knows,
but it does flow since the dawn of age,
since then time has been stretching,
till now time has been stretching,
into the infinity time goes.

Here we are sitting and pondering,
since when we heard of time,
since when a clock would churn,
since when time has winded down,
since when time has flown by,
since when we’ve ran out of time,
since when time isn’t so constant,
since when time weaved within space,
and since when space and time were related?

We’ve been believing a lie,
the memory of the time was long lost,
and yet here we are living in a lie,
believing time is current,
but it’s so ancient,
we do know not when the time was set,
yet here we are setting a date,
yet here we are setting a time,
yet here we are living a lie.

Nonetheless, we humans are bold,
living a lie to make time right,
not for righting a truth of time,
but to righting the time we live,
but to righting a time we flow with,
we’ve made up our own time device,
so we know why time is running out,
so we know when the time is right,
for us to move forward in time.
