Microsoft’s Office Web Apps In Beta

Microsoft is starting to roll out Office web applications in beta mode.  The review at Webworkerdaily has that Microsoft’s Office web applications will behave similar to the Desktop version.  Since these are still in beta mode, new features and current features may be added and otherwise.

The trend of cloud computing is gradually heating up, though one can only guess that this whole cloud computing might be the future.  Not all small businesses and big businesses are willing to place their sensitive documents into the hands of few companies.  For example, Google and the few others are providing services that allow companies to use software that are similar to Microsoft’s Office and similar products, but the process has to be done over the Internet and over a web browser.  The nature of using Office products over the web is quite sensitive.  Do you trust another party enough for the handling of your documents?
