Her Mother Nature (Poem by Vinh Nguyen)

Just another poem I’d written thus far.  Enjoy!!!

  • Can a simple swift,
  • sweeping away leaves,
  • revealing much of nature?
  • Cruelest, it’s her nature,
  • one breath she tortures,
  • one breath she nurtures.
  • Warmest too, it’s her way,
  • one breath she nurtures,
  • one breath she gives hope.
  • Nurturing or torturing,
  • she knows what’s best,
  • sweeping in, her natural way.
  • There she simply goes,
  • weaving her simple tapestry,
  • simple tapestry springs to life.
  • As she acts simply so,
  • sweeping away leaves,
  • just so she can sweep again.
  • Leaves falling on time,
  • simply falling leaves fall,
  • just so leaves can be swept away.
  • Whether leaves fall in cycle,
  • whether leaves fall just once,
  • she simply sweeps leaves away.
  • Cruelest, it’s her nature,
  • one breath she tortures,
  • one breath she nurtures.
  • A simple swiftly sweep,
  • sweeping away all the leaves,
  • revealing her mother nature!

You’re One Of A Kind (Poem By Vinh Nguyen)

Just another poem I’d written thus far.  Enjoy!!!

  • Poem, you’re one of a kind,
  • a thousand words I may use,
  • to describe an image,
  • and I can also be a ruse,
  • with a word I draw 1000 images.
  • People dine fine dinner and wine,
  • criticizing others as they gather,
  • cigar smoke, filling the warm room,
  • some people smile for stature,
  • through a picture, I enter the room.
  • Fine arts display as shrines,
  • they’re boldly lining up among the walls,
  • a boat and calm water entice me much,
  • and so I climb through a wall,
  • suddenly, this boat is bobbing much.
  • Long gone the sunshine,
  • a small storm is lingering by,
  • I scream and shout a poem,
  • suddenly, long gone the wavering tide,
  • reality rushes back as long gone the poem.

Fact Isn’t So Relevant (Poem By Vinh Nguyen)

Just another poem I’d written thus far.  Enjoy!!!

  • The math is all there,
  • apple falls straight down,
  • the humanity is still fair,
  • and yet we are like clowns.
  • Don’t say the rich play fair,
  • for their circumstances differ,
  • they might say they’re rare,
  • but rare events may differ.
  • Don’t say the poor are lazy,
  • for their circumstances differ,
  • they might say they’re many,
  • but common sense won’t make them richer.
  • Predetermined events are so not determined,
  • needing not a thousand miles confirmation,
  • falling apple’s trajectory is predetermined,
  • yet nobody knows the concluded revelation.
  • It makes sense for us to think,
  • with facts and common sense we’d be fair,
  • but none of that is what beyond thinks,
  • for beyond be the shaper of what will fair.
  • So we can gather the math all here,
  • knowing the falling apple’s path,
  • holding the humanity together here,
  • and yet we are truly sad and mad!
  • So, the rich may not play fair,
  • for their circumstances differ,
  • they might say they’re rare,
  • but beyond may differ.
  • The poor might slave to death,
  • for their circumstances differ,
  • they’re facing the face of death,
  • death be it before ’em getting richer.
  • So don’t think for a moment,
  • fact is fact and nothing is relevant,
  • for this will be a stupidest moment,
  • since beyond is this truly elegant.
