Waves of tablets prompt people to suspect that desktops are going the neanderthal way, but here HP has rolled out a new HP Pavilion HPE H8-1090d Desktop PC. This bad boy equips with Intel Core i7-2600 3.4 GHz, 8 GB DDR3, 2 TB SATA (7200 rpm), Blu-ray disc combo player, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 (2 GB dedicated), and HP Wireless Wlan 802.11 b/g/n Mini Card. The operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. Once again, it’s a disappointment to see this new desktop from HP isn’t yet equipped with something better than USB 2.0. Last I heard, HP is going to use USB 3.0 over Thunderbolt, but that is couple days old news. (I don’t mention the price, because it’s still pretty new and price can be varied from one reseller to another over this PC).
