Windows users need to get ready for new security updates that will be rolled out tomorrow by Microsoft. According to Cnet’s article “Microsoft Patch Tuesday to target Windows, IE,“ Microsoft will roll out fixes for 23 known security holes. The fixes are for the security holes that concern with Windows itself, .Net, Internet Explorer, and Silver Light.
Netflix users who are obviously having to rely on Silver Light for streaming movies definitely need to take the new updates seriously. Internet Explorer users always have a choice of not using Internet Explorer to avoid the security issues (i.e., trying out other browsers such as Firefox), but updating the Internet Explorer is definitely best. Another reason for to quickly update Windows tomorrow is that Windows itself is susceptible to remote exploits, but by updating tomorrow will fix the known exploits that allow hackers to carry out such attacks.
So, don’t be careless and make sure you have the latest updates for your Windows system by tomorrow! Also, it’s always wise to enable “install updates automatically” for Windows in case updating isn’t always on your mind.
