An old news perhaps? Nonetheless, I haven’t yet heard that there are patches for iPhone’s banking apps for Bank of America, Chase, TD, USAA, and Well Fargo to fix the vulnerability that the experts at viaForensics have found that may allow hackers to remotely exploit and take over one’s banking account. It seems banking account information such as username and password aren’t encrypted and reside inside iPhone’s memory, hackers with sophisticated knowledge on how to remotely exploit the unencrypted information can take hold of banking accounts that belong to iPhone users who use these iOS banking apps. It’s wise to stay away from these iOS banking apps for now until patches get release to fix the vulnerability that viaForensics have alerted us all about. Stay sharp and keep your banking account safe! Source.
