Have you got a Kindle yet? A more expensive current Kindle model is the Kindle DX. Buy it new for $379 here. Many people are giving rave reviews for the Kindle DX, but some people have also complained about how they have to charge the battery at least twice a week for using 3G heavily. On the plus side, Kindle DX sports 9.7″ High Contrast E-Ink Screen with 1200 x 824 pixel resolution, free 3G wireless that works globally (no monthly fee or contract), Auto-Rotating Screen, 3500 books capacity, supports PDF files, Text-to-Speech feature, and it looks gorgeous.
Personally, I think the $379 price is hefty although reading on Kindle DX would be way much better than many other devices that claim to provide e-reader functionality. Feeling $379 for an e-reader is way too much? You can always buy a smaller model for $189 at here. The battery life for the regular Kindle is definitely better than the Kindle DX. The regular Kindle sports 6″ paper-like display, 1500 books capacity, Text-to-Speech feature, free 3G wireless that works globally, and it’s definitely smaller than the Kindle DX.
Kindle and Kindle DX aren’t slim enough for you? Certain notable websites have been releasing news that Amazon will release a slimmer Kindle in August! I’m not sure the news is true, but if it’s, I think it will be awesome. Hopefully, Amazon will not price the slimmer Kindle much higher than the regular Kindle! Have you had a Kindle or a Kindle DX? How you like it? Write a comment or two below this post to share with everyone why you think it’s great to own a Kindle!
A short disclosure: Although this post is laying out the specifications for Kindle, it’s also aiming to promote Kindle products for a financial purpose. What does that mean? If you purchase a Kindle from Amazon by following the links within this post, I’ll receive a commission from Amazon.
