Are you a star lover, a space geek, a science nerd, Mars lover, or just a curious mind? Telling me if you’re one of those, and I’m telling you that you may like what I’m about to tell you. Microsoft and NASA have worked together in an effort of releasing an amazing project known as WorldWide Telescope to the public. This project is already here for you to take a deep look, but what so cool about it?
WorldWide Telescope allows you to view, interact with extremely high resolution panorama images from Mars. Many images from Mars that are shown with WorldWide Telescope have gigapixel in size for each image. Besides awesome space images, there are various professional guided tours available that you can sit back and enjoy.
WorldWide Telescope is available in two versions. The two versions are essentially the same thing. The catch is that the Windows Client version is a little more powerful as it has more features than the Web Client version. The Web Client version requires Microsoft Silverlight 3.0 to be installed on your system. Getting the Windows Client or the web client of WorldWide Telescope at here. Comparing features between Windows Client and Web Client at here. OK, so go check WorldWide Telescope out, it’s fantastic!
