For security reasons, Google has decided to ban its employees from using Windows within Google’s offices. With a new mandate from the top, Google employees can only use Mac and Linux as their operating systems for their computers. Google is doing this to minimize the risk of being hacked. Probably, Google have found out that Windows machines were hacked easily by hackers and have left Google’s data at risk of prying eyes.
It’s totally understandable that Windows is somewhat easy for hackers to mess with, but I think it’s also up to how securely the end users go about with their daily computer routines. No matter the degrees of resistance that an operating system has against the hackers, when an end user is reckless and not tidy in security measures, it’s bound to happen that somebody will be hacked.
