Do you get your news by paying monthly for a subscription?  Not too many people are going to say yes as free news are all over the web.  There are few people who are willing to pay for a monthly subscription for various off the web and online magazines and news, but the contents have to be very professional and enticing.  The Wall Street Journal has such contents, and Rupert Murdoch thinks people are willing to pay for their contents even though free news are everywhere.  As Rupert Murdoch has promised, the Wall Street Journal rolls out a new application which runs on iPad, and this application allows people to read the Wall Street Journal fully with a catch that people have to cough up about $17.29 per month.

The Wall Street Journal is exploring the side that not too many newspapers and magazines and information web services think viable.  It may be a good thing for web journalism if the Wall Street Journal succeeds in making huge revenue with this new business model over iPad and the web.  Not too many people are so optimistic as Rupert Murdoch though, because there are more people who want to get news for free.  People are so used to surf the web for free news, and they already have subscribed to cable and satellite in which they got various news channels; it’s not so tempting for people to pay even more monthly news subscriptions over iPad.  Source.
