OK, finally I could see why iPad is appealing to me! It’s all about the broadband connection really! It seems that with iPad you only have to pay around $29.99 per month to get unlimited Internet connection with no contract through AT&T. This means it’s much better than most Internet connection plan that you could get for your laptop and netbook. iPad is smaller in size when comparing to most laptop, and so it’s a perfect device to replace laptop when you’re on the go. Obviously, laptop could be more powerful than iPad and less powerful than desktop, this is why Steve Jobs didn’t mind saying iPad is here not to replace anything but only filling in the gap between laptop and smart phones (I think that’s what he said)! Wouldn’t mind buying iPad if the price drops a little more. Patience is virtue!
iPhone users who have been complaining about bad 3G connection may have something to be happy about since AT&T has just announced that it will spend about $2 billion more than usual to improve its network’s capability in handling data for iPhone and iPad. Everyone knew that this would have to come sooner or later, but it’s a great news for iPhone users that AT&T had decided that it has to be done now. It seems AT&T is going to work on this homework right away, because 2010 won’t wait — especially per chance iPad gets popular, AT&T will have a huge network problem! Does this mean AT&T will also improve regular broadband network where home users could see faster broadband speed? I’m not sure about this, but I’m crossing my fingers for this too! Faster download and upload for home Internet connection, who wouldn’t want it right? Source.
I’m definitely not going to advise you to jailbreak your iPhone or iPod Touch, because I believe it’s easier for you to download unsecured packages (software) and be susceptible to being hacked that way. Still, if you want to jailbreak your iPhone or iPod Touch to make it looks like iPad, then you can! I’ve found a source that shows you how to turn your i-whatever into iPad, but it’s up to you to take the risk of making your iPhone or iPod Touch less secure! For step by step of how jailbreaking your iPhone or iPod Touch, you can also check this source out (this guide is for Windows 7 and Vista users only). You can also check out the video which shows you how to make your iPhone or iPod Touch looks like iPad after the jump!
Bill Gates and his wife, Melinda Gates, are backing a project where they fund around $10 billion to research and create vaccines for poorest countries. Check out the video where Bill Gates and his wife talk about the project in detail after the jump!
Sometimes technology doesn’t have to be complicated to save a life. In this case, a technology that is simple as an infant size sleeping bag with a special material that could be melt at human temperature to create a temperature that could provide warmth for undersized infants; in this way the undersized infants do not have to face deaths due to their little bodies that had so little fat that they could not generate a correct body temperature. It’s low tech and super affordable since getting one of these low tech infant incubator is only costing around $25; comparing this to an incubator in a hospital that could cost up to $25,000 is like day and night. More importantly, this low tech incubator could be distributed around the world where poor countries need most! Check out the video which introduces us all to this low tech incubator for infants after the jump!
Windows users aren’t too familiar with a dock, but Macintosh users and Linux users are too familiar with the concept and the usages of a dock. I don’t see the need for Windows 7 users to have a dock, because the Windows 7′s taskbar pretty much does the same thing as a dock in Mac and Linux (e.g., Cairo, Avant). Still, if you have been using a dock on Mac and Linux, and now you want that familiar feeling and look of a dock on Windows 7, you could do it too! Rocketdock.com is where you should go to for downloading a dock and install that onto your Windows 7. Check out the videos that introduces and demos Rocketdock after the jump!
Want an even more fuel efficient motorbike? Give Allert Jacobs enough incentives, he may modify your motorbike to a point that your motorbike could double up the fuel saving amount. Allert Jacobs had modified his 100 MPG Honda motorbike into 200 MPG motorbike. He had the know how of making his motorbike to be more aerodynamic, and the result is gorgeous. The end product looks like a smaller car than a motorbike, but hey, having one of these could save you a ton of gas money. The design looks kind of cute to me, and I think it does look very futuristic, like one of those vehicles you’ve often seen in Hollywood’s science fiction movies. Now, if he could design his motorbike’s wheels into something fancier and a glassy roof over his head, I bet his motorbike could’ve looked even more futuristic. Check out the source to see pictures and specification for Allert Jacobs’ super fuel efficient motorbike.
OK, Apple announced iPad yesterday, but now I’ve found a video that is making fun of iPad. Check out the Mad TV’s joke on iPad after the jump!
Adwords’ users now have an additional feature that Google just launches which allows users to activate click to call phone number through mobile ads. So what is this anyway? If you’re activating this feature for your advertising campaign, visitors who visit websites that are using Adwords through high end smart phones could see your ad and your phone number; the trick is when a person clicks on the phone number inside the ad, his or her phone automatically places the call to your business. Since more and more people could not step outside of their homes and businesses without having smart phones on them, and many smart phones nowadays have web browsing capability; the chance for your click to call advertising campaign to succeed is quite high.
