Here is a tip to secure your Windows 7 further! This tip is best for home users only! Office workers should not use this tip, because it could hinder the computer to work with the office’s network. Go to Control Panel, click on Network and Internet, click on Network and Sharing Center, on the side click on Change adapter settings, right click on your connection, click on properties, uncheck the box that says:
- Client for Microsoft Networks
- QoS Packet Scheduler,
- File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks
- Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)
- Link-Layer Topology Discovery Responder
Remember to click OK to save the settings. If you find something is not working quite right after the change of the settings, you can go back into the same place and reactivate the individual setting that you need. If you followed the tip exactly, your settings should look like the image below.
