Norton 2010 is the newest installment for Norton’s Internet Security Suite. PCMag has a review on this bad boy too. PCMag makes Norton 2010 as their Editors’ Choice. I have to agree with PCMag that Norton 2010 is impressive. Norton 2010 has crazy amount of features that you can play with to secure your computer. Norton 2010 uses behavior base to track down spyware and malware. Before, Norton used signature base to track down spyware and malware, and I think behavior base is much better than signature base. There are only two or three features that I need to turn on after the installation of Norton 2010 to attain the maximum security feeling, and I leave all other settings of features as default. This tell me that Norton 2010 out of the box needs not to be tampered with, which is an excellent thing, because not everyone knows what they configuring anyway.
One drawback I can think up about Norton 2010 is that while it’s scanning the computer, the computer tends to run really slow. This tells me that Norton 2010 maybe taking up too much resources while the scanning is in progress. Fortunately, I noticed that the scan was done pretty fast. My system was pretty clean, and so it found only tracking cookies. I tested ClamWin and found no tracking cookies obviously, and no virus too; this supports the theory that my computer is clean because I use more than one anti-virus software to scan my computer! Anyway, you can also check out the review on Norton 2010 over at PCMag, because they did a good job on reviewing this bad boy.
