Just about everybody I know has at least one cellular phone, this is why it’s not so surprising to see Verizon decides to stop investing further into their landline phone business.  Verizon is going to completely moving away from landline phone business, but it will still offering landline phone as an additional option.  Verizon is also moving away from copper wire technology and is rewiring its network with only fiber optic technology.

So is this a good move for Verizon?  Looking at the current trend, and making an educated guess, I think Verizon is right on the money.  Though there are studies that reported cellular phones may cause cancer, and if this is true to the point that people get really scare of using cellular phone, then Verizon may have to face this headache.  As for now, cellular phone is something that everyone got to have, and so the future is looking great for mobile sector really.  AT&T may follow the same strategy or has it done so already?
