Doubling 2008, 2009 Bad Links Out To Do Harm

On September 2, 2009, in Apple, Internet, Linux, by admin

Doubling the amount of bad links from 2008, 2009 has turned out to be very dangerous for web surfers.  Hackers post gossips about famous celebrities, and have you click on bad links that may install malicious viruses and worms onto your computer without you knowing it.  Searching for famous celebrities’s wallpapers and screensavers and so on can bring you closer to becoming an infected bot that can be used by hackers to hack someone else.  Stealing your passwords and logins from social portals such as Twitter and FaceBook, hackers then can forward messages to all of your online friends, and have them joined the infected bot network — in the end whoever click on your messages may very get infected with viruses and worms.

This leads me to wonder is this type of malicious bad links only be able to infect Windows and Apple?  Or maybe these bad links that have viruses and worms can also infect Linux users?  If Apple could get infected by these bad links, then Linux users should be worried too!  Apple’s is using Linux’s kernel after all!  What ya think?
